Free Music lessons for Roycroft Workers

PainoWorking on the Roycroft Campus a hundred years ago had many perks. One of them was free music lessons. Elbert Hubbard hired a music instructor and piano lessons could be taken for 1/2 hour during the work day. There were several pianos throughout the campus. It was not uncommon for someone to be practicing while others were singing along while they worked.

Can you imagine such a nice benefit in today's workplace?

Stop by and say "hello" to the friendly staff at the Roycroft Copper Shop, 31 South Grove Street, East Aurora, New York. They don't give free music lessons but they will freely tell you about the great artisan work for sale.
